Remembering THE WAR is a collection of oral histories from veterans and others who experienced World War II first hand. These poignant interviews are with residents from across the Blue Ridge PBS viewing area including Collinsville, Pearisburg, Abingdon, Pulaski, Bedford and Roanoke. Hear from a Pearl Harbor survivor, a flight nurse, the pilot of a B-17 flying fortress, a war bride who lived in London during the Blitz, and much more. Disc One contains both one hour episodes of Remembering THE WAR. Disc Two includes additional interview clips that were not broadcast in the program. It also contains the one hour World War II Virginia Scroll of Honor which lists names of those Virginians who died while serving our country during World War II.

Through Their Eyes: Remembering the War Years DVD setThrough Their Eyes

Through Their Eyes: Remembering the War Years, is a four hour documentary that chronicles the World War II experiences of over 50 gallant men and women from Southwest & Central Virginia. Relive, through oral histories, their involvement in all major theatres of the war. The Bataan Death March, The Normandy Invasion, The Malmedy Massacre, and Nazi Concentration Camps are recalled by the survivors. These men and women represent all branches of service and include German citizens, soldiers, and airmen who settled in this region after the war. Premiering in 1991, it has been re-mastered with additional archival footage.
